This project delivered the first domestic composite jetty of its scale in New South Wales. Covering 100 metres in length and 2 metres in width, the structure features concrete filled steel piles, polyethylene sleeves, fibreglass headstocks and beams, with fibreglass decking and an aluminium handrail. Unlike traditional timber jetty constructions, fibreglass offers superior resistance to weathering and marine organisms such as worms, oysters and algae, resulting in a stronger, longer-lasting jetty with reduced maintenance requirements.

At the seaward extent, a hydraulically operated stairway provides safe and convenient access to the water and vessels. Controlled remotely, the stair remains raised when not in use, further minimising exposure to marine organisms and prolonging its lifespan.
