our team

MICHEAL FOUNTAIN

Micheal Fountain has over 30 years of practice experience, and a lifetime of experience in the maritime world.

Micheal graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New South Wales in 1990, he opened his own firm in the years following which has evolved to become Marine Facilities Australia. The nature of Micheal’s career has given a depth of design and project management experience both in and outside the maritime world. He seeks to apply the same thinking used in large scale commercial works such as Sydney Boathouse to all projects, commercial, residential, or otherwise.

Micheal still lives in the family home he designed on Pittwater 25 years ago. This close proximity to Pittwater has allowed Micheal to further indulge in his other life passion, sailing. Micheal has sailed internationally, professionally and most importantly recreationally all of his life. The unification of this understanding and passion with his design thinking is what allows Marine Facilities Australia to deliver successful, and fitting projects.

Rhonda Carr

Having grown up on and in the water, Rhonda Carr has been able to combine this passion with her design and architectural knowledge throughout her career with Marine Facilities Australia.

For over 30 years Rhonda has studied and worked in design and architecture. Her skill set is diverse, having worked on both domestic, commercial, and industrial projects from conception through to completion. She has a diverse knowledge of local products; planning law and has established working relationships with consultants and contractors who are experienced with maritime projects.

Outside of work, Rhonda’s favourite pass time is boating. It would not be out of the question for her to spend the entire weekend on the water. This provides her with an understanding of boating facilities, the vessels themselves, how they are used, and the impacts that the local natural environment has on them.
